Did you know, it is not unusual for a business interest to have more than one value. Yet each value is correct, depending upon the reason for the valuation. The underlying purpose for having the business valued can render a profound effect upon the outcome. For example, a valuation performed because of a contemplated acquisition of another company should yield a different value than one performed because  of a dispute among partners in the business.

Other valuation objectives yield yet different conclusions.

After a successful career in corporate finance Ed Donnelly opened his accounting and tax office in Melville, NY. As his litigation support practice grew, to become more accessable, he added a satellite office in New York City. 

Today, Mr. Donnelly concentrates on valuations of privately owned businesses and valuation services associated with matrimonial issues.

Mr. Donnelly is the recipiant of the Accreditation in Business Valuation designation by the American Institute of CPAs. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant by New York State.

His education includes a degree in accounting and finance from Fordham University, and a law degree from New York Law School.

He has lectured before the Long Island Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers on business valuation. He lectured the Nassau Chapter of the NYSSCPAs on the valuation of enhanced income as a matrimonial issue.
